Before the sun start peaking over the mountains we will have had a nice cup of coffee and breakfast. As it gets very warm in many parts of Namibia its is important to set out for the hunting expeditions early in the morning and late afternoon ensuring that a good hunting area is covered in finding that special trophy. As many of the hunts are set out on vehicle and then finishing on walking and stalking, giving it that special touch of being part of nature.
Walking and stalking is my preferred method of hunting as it consists of locating game from afar and trying to approach within shooting distance, taking advantage of the territory's geography, forest, wind direction and sun location, thus, avoiding to be detected through sight, sounds and smells.
Trophies are hand picked based on the criteria of an ethical hunting practice.
We focus on spot and stalk hunting in the mountain areas .
We use Land Cruiser Vehicles while hunting to cover as much as possible ground during the safari.
While hunting there will always be a professional guide and trackers along with enough water and food as might be needed.
Hunting is a part of Namibia's wildlife conservation strategy as it provides income from wildlife for landowners and people living in communal conservancies. By allocating tangible value to wildlife outside state protected areas. Namibia has managed to expand the habitat available for wild animals on both freehold and communal land. The Namibian government therefore refers to good hunting practices as "conservation hunting" in recognition of its clear benefits for wildlife conservation and the economy.
